The second of two major bonds

They normally occur between a non-metal and a metal atom, in which they give and take electrons.

***Remember, an atom is electrically neutral (they have the same amount of negatively charged electrons as positively charged protons) it’s electrostatic force between two charges that hold the atoms together.
